Getting Married on a Golf Course Can Work and Did in Kenduskeag, Maine

It was the beginning of October when Ashley and Jerod said their I Do's on the Kenduskeag Golf Course near Bangor Me. It was a brilliant picture perfect day. They lucked out, as the wedding I shot the day before, was in torrential down pours.

Jerod grew up playing golf on this golf course so it was near and dear to his heart, it made the perfect location for their ceremony! Just make sure when planning a ceremony on a golf course, that you have a back up rain plan. This bride and groom lucked out indeed!

The event was planned by Wedding Planner Buffie McCue and Buffie was very attentive in all their wedding needs that day. Having a Wedding Planner definitely helps you to keep your wedding on schedule and on track! Congrats to the Ashley and Jerod!

Camden Maine Wedding at the Camden Amphitheater and Camden Harbor Majestic Backdrop

If you are planning an outdoor wedding, it can't get much better than the Camden Amphitheater in Camden Maine. Here is where you will find lovely landscaped terraced grounds supported by the backdrop of Camden Harbor. The Amphitheater is an open air theater and can accommodate up to hundreds of guests. It is conveniently located across from Camden's most scenic park harbor. The harbor makes a great backdrop with schooners and boats galore! However, make sure you have a rain plan in place as their is no coverage on the grounds should it rain. This is an ideal place if you are staying in Camden at one of the B&B's and like the convenience of an in town ceremony venue.

A Downeast Wedding in Blue Hill Maine at The John Peters Estate

It was an unusually warm late summer day for an outdoor wedding. The John Peters Estate in Blue Hill, Maine, was by far one of the most luxurious venues to work at as a photographer. The Federal style home built in the 1800s is on the National Registry of Historic Places and sets high on a hill overlooking Peters Cove in Blue Hill.

When I arrived at the estate with my photography team, catering party planning company, Mickey Jowders of Cast Iron Catering in Blue Hill, were very busy with last minute preparations for 150 guests. One of my most favorite flowers, the sunflower, was the flower of the day provided by local florist in Surry, Sweet Pea Gardens. This was my third wedding to shoot this summer with the latest and hottest trendy colors of oranges, blues, and yellows. Wedding coordinator Laurie White, was johnny on the spot and will take care of all your needs. Laurie was great to work with.

Courtney and Tyler said their “I Do’s” in front of 150 guests set against the late setting sun and a beautiful field of Queen Anne’s Lace.

If you are bride that loves fun getting ready shots, this is your place! The bedrooms upstairs offer spacious room, cottagy vintage colors of white and blue and the available light is great for photography.

I give this wedding a full thumbs up! Thanks so much to the bride and groom for having us!

A perfect end for a summer wedding in Maine!
